  1. I just love your short reads on Indian history. Simple stories told such a informative yet lucid way. But you know what I don't think you are doing justice to development technological and scientific knowledge that was a very part of the heritage. Although they are mentioned in several sections but I think they require a separate treatment, may be subsection of the periods you mention. But again it is perhaps very difficult to discretise them into ages/empires.

    1. That's true...i am struggling to put together all of that...most of the info is a biased Indian opinion exaggerating our past...I did write one article on Aryabhata though.....

  2. It is actually okay to be "proud" and perhaps thus little exaggerated on something which is connected to our very existence but you know what sometimes people tend to be little laughable ....I was talking to a friend (who incidentally is a supporter of a religious nationalist party ) that day and matter of wright brothers and invention of aeroplanes came up. He was kind of an opinion that they should have paid respect to ancient hindu civilisation where "pushpak vimana" was already in use. ...obviously a burst of laughter followed, actually I was glad that he didn't say that they copied the technology .....you know people keep saying things about atomic powers, surrogacy, test tube babies so on and so forth, failing to understand that there is a difference in being imaginative and being inventive.

Anyway I am very sure a lot more thoughtful and scientific writings will come from your keyboard.

    2. Yes...it is OK to be 'proud' and even I do exaggerate some times adding a word like 'probably' like a true geologist...But the problem is ...fictions like those makes even the facts look like fiction....
